Great video – well edited with the “speed ups” to minimize watch time. Very helpful.

Why not use a heat gun to quickly remove that vinyl instead of buying more wood to put on top of wood?

What do you do about the difference in height between your vinyl flooring on the kitchen and whatever your putting in the next room?

No offensive fella but screw are not the recommended fastener for under laminate. A 1/4in crown staple or with a cheap material like luan I prefer a 3/8 so it does not blow through the material. you should also be skim coating your seams and every where you put your fasteners

Mrs. Bernie Madoff says:

I used cement backer board, dusty and messy, and I wish I had saw ur video first, also it was very heavy for one person to handle, I’m female, doing a herringbone pattern in kitchen, wish me luck, cant wait to finish, so tired, and still have a feature wall to wallpaper, in the living room, and a star wars mural to put up in my boys room. Husband works all night, and sleeps in the day, and I’m more handy with D.I.Y. than he is. My boy isn’t interested in anything other than his game system, and when is his room, going to be done………smdh

Rachel Wolford says:

(25 years later) I have added a step here and we just reach into the basement of our cabinets. does it suck hunching to walk in? of course but I didn’t have to scrape any vynal off EVER

Valerie Jaquith says:

Can I install vinyl planks over carpet pad?

Barry Straughan says:

What do you do about the difference in height between your vinyl flooring on the kitchen and whatever your putting in the next room? Also when installing the same vinyl plank flooring in the basement, do you use any kind of subfloor or vapour barrier? and if so what do you have the most success with?

James Knowlen says:

So many people have their own fucking viewpoint as to what is right and what is wrong,it makes u confused as hell.
