Cheaply made houses require cheaply made stairs and this fits the bill.

APheonixPretense8 says:

This doesn’t look like hardwood to me…it is?

Jason Roach says:

so the purpose of the video wasnt really to teach anything

ChedengMB says:

just picked up my wood floors and stair nose, however, seems like my stains from wood floor and stair nose don’t really match. Is this common for the stains?

RELOADINGandSHOOTING says:

Dang it man?! Why must you have to make it looks so easy? LoL thanks for a nice quick video… What kind of nails did you use? It would have been nice if you showed what type, size did you use and glue and why etc…

Daniel Schifano says:

What do you use the cover the exposed edge of the riser?

Pamela Brown says:

What do you do about the back side angle of return nosing? Is it just left open?

Great video…I am trying to install bamboo floors on my stairs and the mail gun is able to shoot nails through the wood.  The wood is pretty thick.  Should I just use liquid nails?  Thanks for your help.

this is just a cheap way to do stairs, traditional stain grade treads and painted risers installed by a seasoned finish carpenter can’t be beat imo

canoetrip2001 says:

How would you cover up the side cut of riser? I’m looking around the Internet for the way to trim the riser side without miter joint with face stringer, but there was none.

Pamela Desserre says:

hello, i am installing prefinished teak hard wood flooring throughout the upper floor. i have finished the first room and am going to start on the next bedroom then continue into the hallway. i plan on having a transition piece from the 2nd room to the hallway, only because i’m doing it room by room. will this look ok ?

Devu Patel says:

VERY WELL DONE. THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH FOR THE VIDEO.

S Thunda says:

Hello,  Can you install treads/steps without nosing?  What is its real function? I have a closed-sided staircase and considered treads without adding nosing.  Please advise.
