Jason Faulkner says:

..vinyl flooring is slightly more susceptible to sunlight than vinyl ..but nothing compared to hardwood..hardwood is well known for fading .. vinyl can be used in sunlight..it will fade ..but not for a very long time..i would worry more about sections becoming hot too fast and cooling too fast..both vinyl and laminate are susceptible to ‘pop outs’ in this condition especially if there are some heavy pieces of furniture involved
