An easy to use laminate floor polish is the Bona Laminate Floor Polish. It is a water based, non-toxic product. This polish provides a clear shine to improve the look of dull or worn laminate.

You want to clean the floor thoroughly before you apply the polish. Use a pad designed for polish and work in a cross hatch pattern. Allow to dry for 2 hours before walking on the finish. Allow 24 hours before replacing any heavy items.

Question since you are the home fix it guy. Can you strip laminate floors (kind like you can with real hard wood floors) and reseal/recoat them to make them shiny and new looking and waterproof? If so, how would you do that, and what would you have to use product wise. Thanks

will it remove light surface scratches?  thank you

hispeed69 says:

Doesn’t this process go completely against a laminate floor’s manufacturers instructions about not letting excess liquid get into the edges. This seems as if it will seep into the edges and cause the floor to swell and ruin!
