How to Install Laminate Flooring on Concrete in the Kitchen Mryoucandoityourself

From this video you’ll learn about how to install laminate flooring on concrete. Installing laminate flooring on concrete you should choose the right underlayment and think about water protection of your new floor. In this project I am installing laminate floor with cork, so I didn’t put any soft underlayments for sound protection. For water protection I use poly.

How to Install Laminate Flooring on Concrete in the Kitchen

lindamermaid says:

Did I miss something? I was expecting some kind of dialog, not just a fast-forward of an installation. Too many questions: What is the plastic underneath it? What kind of tape is that? How close to the walls should I get? Do I need glue? Does laminate shrink? I’ve seen laminate that appears to have shrunk and I’m concerned about using it at all. I’ll check your other tutorials, but this one, while interesting, only raises more questions.

Ian Hawley says:

This is not a how to. Just a time-lapse. Rubbish.

atomicbrain9401 says:

You can’t do it. Boy, you can’t do this…….ON CONCRETE.

Alberto Correa says:

no tips wtf..stupid vid bro

Rick Uzubell says:

This is a useless video without dialogue.

Diane Bryant says:

Hi I watched your video cause I’m wanting to replace old carpeting in both my bedrooms that have conceret floors underneath it was very helpful. Now can you recommend a reputable flooring company other than Luna or impire are you located in the Chicago area?

Kevin W says:

Good video. Only thing I didn’t like is your video started after you had already installed several rows. I’d start it with the first board where you have to put the spacers in to set the original gap. I have done three floor in my life…the first one started out horrific, but by the end of it I was a pro. My next two floors (dining room and a powder room) were actually pretty good. I will be doing laminate in a kitchen of a house I just bought to rent out so I am looking forward to that. No appliances in yet either so the job should be easy.

Where can i download that awesome song?

Erne Fachtmann says:

Thanks for the video. I have a question. What do you do when you want to pullout the dishwasher?

Meecheong Kim says:

What is the exact merchandise name of “poly”?  I go to Homedepot to buy the materials.

salas random videos says:

y los zocalos?

Laura Maddison says:

Now THAT Mr YouCanDoItYourself video w’s far better — only thing I would like to see is how laminate is cut when pieces are wider than the final row, and around edges of cabinetry. But thanks, this was much clearer — and the foam at base of wall was genius!

Al Holmes says:

what is the name of the cuter you use to cut the wood

Nigel Jones says:

One quick question here, how do i know when to make a glue down job? are there ant type of wood that should not be glued?

cherryb1115 says:

Our concrete floor had carpet on it prior to a water line bursting. Now we would like to install hardwood or laminate flooring and need to know what kind of preparation the concrete needs prior to the new installation? Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

SurlyLHTcycleTour says:

no expansion gap shown?

Laura Maddison says:

Useless – no explanation of prep of concrete floor, no discussion on padding options, etc. etc
No tips.

William Carley says:

What about the black mold that forms between the concrete and the plastic sheeting you are putting over the concrete? Why are you not telling your customers about that? Once you put the plastic sheeting down the concrete can no longer breathe and it forms a black mold in the customers House

TiaGo2k6 says:

Another awesome video. Problem is people these days are too stupid and useless that they can’t just follow actions and must have every single little detail explained. Keep up the great work.

Mirusia Li says:

the tool is uesed cut laminate, what is that name?

Pablo Maya says:

You have leave the Laminate floor open for 3 days at least

Someone Diff'rent says:

You don’t show cutting, measuring, spacing, etc…

Ray Richter says:

should you insert tongue edge first then the ends? would have saved you the obvious struggles.

Lauren Rankin says:

Hi, thanks for this video!  What is the tool you use around the 1:30 mark??

joel williams says:

I like your music

Dale McClain says:

How much of a gap is needed along the walls to account for expansion?
