i hit the like button soley for the clarification of how to correctly pronounce “caulk.”
this should be required training video for apprentices across the land
Never use caulk to fill big holes that sink when it drys and still be noticeable fill holes and nails holes with 5 min wet cloth sand boom no sinking
is this video for real, this stuffs the easiest material to work with out there i really dont see why it needs a video, its like silicone for retards
Why is this even necessary inside
Is it me or does the window frame look higher on one side? Great vid tho
What’s up with the non mitred corners? Thought that was a no no
Now go skate!
I enjoy caulking slits.
The thumbnail pic alone tells me this is all wrong.
Good video .
ty my friend, just subbed
sorry but did he say its Cock ?
A really great trick is to use s hand masker with 9 ” paper and a high adhesion tape and pull off a section and stick it to your stomach like an apron. You can wipe excess caulk onto it. Once it fills up just crumple it up and pull off a new section. Works really well when using lots of caulk on exteriors
How do you fill in the miters on the outside corners of the base molding?
Solid advice delivered at a good pace.
You don’t caulk it. Next.
Good job on the descriptions.
I do have a question. If this is a remodel why does the wood in the window look like it is rotted?
Your videos are so helpful! Thanks! I can see what I’m doing wrong in covering screws, filling wider gaps and the pressure and angle changes in toweling on mud to feather with the least amount of blistering and follow up sanding. I just have a small repairs from time to time and mudding is the skill you pay a professional for; yet small repairs are the calls you’ll least likely get a guy to come out to do so I’m glad to learn it.
I’d stay away from Alex caulk or even the Alex II.
Dynaflex 230 never cracks and it’s very nice to work with, unlike phenoseal.
Great video with good information. Thanks.
Greetings from the States! I just started to get the itch of remodeling the home I purchased last year. Though I haven’t done much of what you have taught I’ve learned a lot so far. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with the world. Great sense of humor to boot.
I envy the fact that you have smooth drywall. The house I bought has orange peel textured wall, so I have to ask – how you keep clean caulk lines when dealing with textures? I’m also curious – do you use the same caulk for a bead between floor and molding, on a tiled floor install?
Great video!
