Didn’t say what centres for the metal angle supports? Good vid though very well explained on the details, very helpful unlike some other videos on YT, thanks
i guess you never heard of rigid x framing this is a waste of time and material couldve been done in a 1/4 of the time without using those materials. very simple process and not as time consuming a 10x 10 room could be done in as little as 45 minutes and it wont be counted on by small metal clips which seem as if they could fall off in a seismic event and end up killing someone
This is a really great video. The presenter really has taken the time to explain things (and why, the potential for the plastic plugs to melt if there was a fire being just one example). I have read the commnets below about other easier systems that can be used, and perhaps that is true (I have no idea) but the fact still remains that this is a great video. I am pretty good at DIY but knew nothing about this type of work and now feel like I can take this on and achieve the desired result. I found other videos online but they always assume you have knowledge you couldn’t have unless you are familir with this type of work. This man has aimed his presentation at the novice without sounding like a primary school teacher. Really great video. Thanks.
I am going to be installing an mf ceiling for noise reduction purpose’s, with double DB boards 12.5 mm thick, what distance should my primary channel be from each other ?
Does the screw mentioned at 3:22 suitable for concrete ceiling? What is the name of that screw? Do you need a nail gun or you can do the work with a normal cordless drill? Thanks
thank you my father

lol your in a finished room doing a demo why for the hard hats and high viz lmao in-doctrines of social engineering
You can use a hand hole puncher to make a hole in the metal angle rather than screwing it to make the hole. This method is cleaner and safer.

That’s one low ceiling.

this was a great tutorial, but the only thing is the metric system just sucks for this type of work. its way much simpler with the imperial system.

Thanks, I have been seeing more and more of this mf framing here in the US and anticipate using in someday.
