Hi I want to clad the ceiling and walls of my ensuite. What grap adhesive would you recommend?
How did you seal the edges – silicone sealant or more likely some form of edge strip like a tiling edge strip?
Plan do do my bathroom as the previous resident fitted wood without putting zinser on knots – looks terrible.
Impossible to sand down or nitromors without a lot of hassle and mess so planning on putting up that plastic cladding – looks nice with the silver in between not seen that one before – Wickes?

I have wooden panels with brass down lights – want to replace with pvc cladding panels & chrome lights , what’s the easiest option for replacement & cuttng out, was thinking simply removing original panels & using as template for length & cutting out holes for lights ? Would this be best option ? Panels are the same size !!!
is this material safe ? It is said to be highly flammable .Any opinions?
hi I could not find led down lighters you fitted eBay just ones with white tubes mounting any help appreciated
Good job man.. Well done! I like it.
What a great video!
are you not supposed to use click in coving for the edges
Great job handyman. What size batons did you use?
Can i put this over existing cladding
So I wouldn’t be able to do this with just a normal ceiling light, I’d have to get led lights?
where can i buy this cladding please
Can you advise me please, plastered two new walls in a bathroom before fitting splash panel to these. What do I need to do to the new plaster before splash panel is fitted. Is a simple watered down coat of emulsion suffice?
thanks for the advice much appreciated…keep up excellent videos I have learnt so much.
you never showed how you cut your holes
Those screws are a pain in the arse. Especially working above your head. Seen a tip on YouTube to hold the screws using a rare earth magnet on screwdriver bit. Made it a lot easier
hi I could not find the led down lighters you fitted eBay just ones with white cylinder cones tubes on any help where you got them from cheers
Hi, you left a little gap for expansion at the edges right? What would you fill this with? silicone?…. I am renewing the plasterboard ceiling in my bathroom (which is under a flatroof extension) in a couple of months as I need to access the wiring for a few different things and think I may go down the cladding route instead of replacing the plasterboard.
great video as usual thanks, where did you get ceiling cladding from and led downlighters from 9watt do they come with transformer or not….thanks…jon
how do you finishing the edgeing off
Tried to fit ceiling cladding today; got three boards up; and they all fell down soon after. I put silicone behind it, and used staples along the edge to help hold it up while the stuff was setting; it all fell down I cant paint the ceiling because i tried recently and the paint all bubbled and fell off in big slakes like molten rubber face mask, went everywhere, and it took over three hours to remove the stuff from the kitchen cupboards, worktops and the floor. I thought that cladding would be the answer, only to find that, THAT wont stay up either!. Think I’ll just graffiti it with spray paint! make a feature of it; any spray painters, graffiti artists out there?
I’m not interested in fitting a false ceiling, as its too costly, and i’d probably screw that up too. Over the years, this ceiling has had all kinds of repairs done so there are a few coats of plaster on it, in many layers, so i cant even peel it. Tried skimming it; when I started painting it, the plaster came off onto the roller. Maybe i should just do the tried and tested method, and bolt the stuff up! I was told to use silicone, but it doesn’t work; gonna use heavy duty grab adhesive; or, i would if i was confident it wouldn’t fail too. Ahh; i give up.
Thank You for making these videos, really appreciate them.
Brill tutorial as usual. Where does your extractor go? and what kit did you use.
did you just cover the access hatch .
Someone stealing your videos……. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gb5UTyEFX3Q
Nice presentation. One question: If this is a kind of tongue & groove and you are screwing through the tongue, I’d expect the screw to interfere with the matching groove. Where am I misunderstanding?
great tutorial man
thanks for the quick reply back re led downlighters from screwfix,i noticed they are ip20 rated only,as they are going in bathroom with a shower assumed should be ip65 rated…..thanks…jon
